Data Disclaimer

Last Updated: Tue Dec 10 2024

Blockchain Database sp. z o.o., doing business as BlockDB, provides on-chain data through API, WSS and other means to support users’ informational needs. However, users should be aware of the inherent limitations of this data and exercise caution when relying on it for decision-making. By accessing or using BlockDB’s data services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Data Disclaimer.

1. Accuracy of Data

BlockDB endeavors to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the on-chain data we provide. However, due to the dynamic and complex nature of blockchain technology, the data may be incomplete, outdated, or subject to errors. Additionally, block reorganizations, which may occur as a normal part of blockchain operations, can affect the accuracy of previously reported data. BlockDB has implemented logic to detect block reorganization events (such as differences in block hashes and parent hashes) and strives to send timely adjustments as these are identified. However, due to inherent system complexities, we cannot guarantee that all reorganization adjustments will be fully captured or immediately reflected in the data provided.

2. Tracing and Data Verification System

BlockDB has implemented a tracing system that allows for double-checking processed data against the original source data used in calculations and processing. While this system enhances data reliability and transparency, users remain responsible for verifying information and confirming its accuracy with other sources where necessary. BlockDB provides this system as a tool to aid in data tracking and verification, but cannot ensure the absolute accuracy of all processed data.

3. Data Freshness and Latency

BlockDB maintains a robust node infrastructure designed to deliver on-chain data with exceptional speed and low latency. However, due to the unpredictable nature of blockchain events, such as block reorganizations or high network traffic, some data updates may experience minor delays. Users should be aware that while we strive for immediate data delivery, certain adjustments or updates may not always reflect instantaneously.

4. No Warranty

The on-chain data provided by BlockDB is offered strictly "as is," without any warranties or guarantees of any kind, either express or implied. BlockDB makes no representations about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the data for any purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlockDB disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose.

5. No Liability for Decisions

Any decisions made based on BlockDB’s on-chain data are solely the responsibility of the user. Users acknowledge that blockchain and on-chain data analysis involve risks and should exercise caution when using this information for financial or other critical decisions. BlockDB shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or other consequences that arise directly or indirectly from the use of, or reliance on, the data we provide.

6. Independent Verification and User Responsibility

Users are strongly encouraged to perform independent verification of the on-chain data provided by BlockDB and to actively monitor any adjustments or corrections published by BlockDB, particularly following block reorganization events. The data should be treated as one of several information sources, and users should consult other sources and professionals where appropriate to ensure informed and balanced decision-making.

7. Changes to This Policy

BlockDB reserves the right to modify this Disclaimer at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with the “Last Updated” date. By continuing to use or reference our content, you agree to comply with the current version of this policy.
